Taormina Greek Theatre events

The Greek theater in Taormina is one of the most spectacular theatres of Italy, a wonderful terrace overlooking the Ionian built by the Greeks.
Rebuilt by the Romans, it was then expanded and it became the second largest theater in Sicily, after Syracuse.
Today is a unique stage that hosts concerts, theatrical events, poetry during the long nights of summer, for an extremely varied audience.

How to get to Taormina:

AIRPORT: From Catania airport the bus operator "Etna Trasporti" connects nearly each hour to Taorminas bus terminal (70 minutes drive) between 7 a.m. and 9.45 pm. Take Teatro Greco street to get to the theatre.

TRAIN: all major trains from northern Italy, starting in Milan or Rome with destination Syracuse or Agrigento, stop at TAORMINA-GIARDINI. Take the bus to the centre. At the bus terminal follow the signs to the theatre, via teatro greco.

CAR: shortest way (recommended):
Coming from motorway A 18, Catania-Messina, exit at TAORMINA. Take Teatro Greco street to get to the theatre.
